AW 18/19 Trends

Hello everyone!

It’s August, and that means that the AW18/19 season is knocking on the door. As you might already know, I don’t follow the latest fashion trends religiously. However, I think it’s useful to be aware of them so as to know what’s going to be available in the stores. For this reason, I decided to write a basic rundown of what can you expect to see in the upcoming season.

The Bigger The Better

And that’s how I would summarise the AW18/19 season as a whole. Expect to see big, baggy clothing items, sleeves, massive pieces of jewellery and accessories, as well as lots of layers. Massive, baggy, chunky, comfortable. That’s how the upcoming autumn and winter are going to feel like. Don’t be afraid to invest in a huge handbag to keep all your belongings in.

Prints, in general, are going to be huge this autumn and winter. If you’re a fan of “Clueless”, now’s the time to channel your inner Cher Horowitz because checks are going to be everywhere. Just to list a couple of other prints, we are also talking about stripes, animal patterns, polka dots, and florals. Yes, you’re reading that right! Expect to see floral prints this autumn and winter.

Suits in all shapes, colours, and patterns. So, my fellow #bossbabes, this season is going to be fun for us in terms of fashion. I already talked about suits in my Best Summer 2018 Trends post, and I’m really excited to see more of them.

I can’t even express how excited I am about this one. I’m a huge fan of leather. Well, faux leather because I would never purchase a clothing item a real animal had to die for. Stock up on pleather my loves, because this season we are going to combine leather with leather and more leather!

If you are a cowboy girl deep in your heart, now is the time to unleash her. Brush the dust off of your cowboy shoes because they are going to be in fashion this autumn and winter.

And that’s all I have for this blog post. I hope you enjoyed and found it at least a bit informative.

See you soon!

xoxo, S. V.
