Hello everyone!

Today I’d like to share a couple of tips with you on how to elevate your outfit and look a bit more stylish. I’ll avoid writing a long intro, and so I’ll dive straight into it.

Tuck in the Top

The simplest trick to instantly look more stylish is to tuck your top or jumper into your trousers/skirt/shots etc. You can see what I mean in this picture. Tucking your top into the trousers will add more shape to the garment itself as well as the overall outfit.

The Importance of Personal Grooming

My tip number two is to take good care of your appearance. You can wear a this season’s Chanel outfit, but if your hair is greasy, your nail polish is chipped, and you forgot to brush your teeth in the morning, you’re absolutely killing all of your attempts to look stylish. Whole another thing is if, for example, if messy hair is a part of your image. If that’s the case, then go with it!

Take Good Care of Your Garments

You can wear the prettiest top in the world, but if it’s dirty or creased, it doesn’t mean absolutely anything. Wash your clothes, iron your clothes, or take it to the dry cleaner’s if necessary. And not only that. Learn when to part with your garments. I know how hard it is to throw away a piece of clothing you’ve loved, but after some time the clothing item stops looking as good as it did when you purchased it. When it loses its shape, it’s probably time to say farewell.

Add Basics and Timeless Pieces

You can never go wrong with an all-basics outfit. A simple white T-shirt or a black roll-neck is always a good idea, isn’t it? A great way to look stylish in basics and timeless pieces is to add something a bit more extra. For instance, a top with an interesting print or a unique piece of jewellery. The possibilities are endless and they will do the job. Invest in good quality pieces. With proper care they will serve you for a long time.

Keep It in Neutral Colours

I feel like this tip kinda goes hand in hand with the basics/timeless pieces tip. However, if you want to look stylish and fashionable no matter what the latest trends are, pick an all-one-colour outfit, or keep the look in the neutral palette of black, white, grey, brown, and beige. I guarantee you that you will look stylish in any of these combinations.

Add Layers

Layers are a great way to add more stylishness to your outfit. Obviously, this tip applies mostly to the autumn/winter season, but a nice coat thrown over a cosy jumper, and perhaps a scarf will not only look super stylish, but it will also keep you warm in the cold weather.

Pay Attention to Your Undergarments

You know nothing makes my day more than seeing people’s socks when I’m walking up the escalators on the tube. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with wearing socks. However, it just looks absolutely ridiculous when I see a man dressed in a suit and then hen unintentionally reveals his socks with a heart print on them. My another pet peeve when it comes to undergarments is when women wear tights in open-toe shoes. Please, stop doing this! Just skip the tights or wear a different pair of shoes.

Accessorise

It’s crazy how much accessories elevate your outfit. No, seriously. You can transform your outfit into a completely different style only by adding a few accessories. One way or another, a pair of nice studs in your ears, and perhaps a classic watch on your wrist will help your outfit look more put together.
