Hello everyone!

In today’s post, we will be talking about what to wear if you’re a proud owner of a diamond-shaped body. This post is the last one in my series How to Dress According to Your Body Shape, so feel free to check out the rest if you’re interested.

Characteristics

  • The most prominent part of your body is your hips
  • You have an undefined waist where you tend to gain the most weight
  • You have slender arms and lower legs

What to Wear

Essentially, the basis of dressing any body shape is to balance everything out. To balance a diamond-shaped body, you should wear tops with belted or nibbed waists. You want to draw more attention to your shoulders and arms. For that reason, feel free to wear tops that are embellished in that area. Opt for off-the-shoulder tops, boat-necks, wide V or U necklines, ruffled or princess sleeves. Don’t be afraid to go a little over the top in this area.

For the bottom part of your body, you want this area to appear longer. Opt for trousers and skirts that fall straight from the widest part of your hips. Ideally, you want your bottoms to be dark coloured. Keep your trousers and skirts simple but don’t be afraid of embellishments or pockets on your hips. Also, flared skirts and dresses are a great option for you, as they will emphasise your lower body, and make your waist look smaller. If you want to lengthen your legs more, feel free to wear high heels. If you feel comfortable in them, of course.

Celebrities with the Diamond Body Shape

The diamond body shape is very rare, and therefore I couldn’t find a lot of famous ladies with this body shape. The only two ladies were Adele and Kate Winslet. However, both of them have already been featured in my apple body shape blog post. These two body shapes are very similar and can be mistaken for one another. The main difference between these two body shapes is that “apple” has long straight legs whereas “diamond” carries a bit of weight in the thigh area.

The very last thing I want to say is that you are beautiful no matter your shape or size. If you want to wear something that you “shouldn’t” because of your body shape, wear it! If you feel great wearing it, just go for it!

And that’s all I have for this blog post and also this series! I hope you enjoyed and found it informative.

See you soon!

xoxo, S. V.
